Honestly, I didn't read Knight until after I had read the whole rest of the series. It was fun knowing that VP had this whole crazy backstory, but I saved him for last. So glad I did! I love this series and I love the way everyone respects and lays a wide path around VP (well, except for Ricky but that's a whole other review).

I absolutely love this book and the author. I am soooo glad I found this author. I started with the Baxter books then went to her website and read everything she has in order. I just finished the last book. I am going to be on a serious book (actually series I guess) hangover. There is so much detail and character development in the books that you feel like you actually know these people. I am constantly amazed the author's detail, knowledge and imagination. This is a definite must read for everyone as is each book in the series. I will be on pins and needles awaiting each new release.

Loved Steve and Jess and all thIS coming together this book has so many things happening it will make you read until the end. Now I am starting on Danny and Tess story can't wait to see what happen to these two.

I'm all ready looking forward to book 2. Jess and Steve's story was a great start to this series. I love how all the characters interact with each other.

I loved the Baxter's so a took a chance on this tie in series. I'm not a fan of MC stories, having known a few guys that ride growing up, I don't like the negative, thug focus a lot take. I have read a few good ones and this is a good one.Steve Knight is the VP of the club. Former SEAL who served with Jamie and Kevin Baxter. He turned down a job with Baxter Security to work for the club he grew up in. While he wasn't proud of the illegal activities they were involved in they are his family. Things are changing. With the president dead, Steve's best friend Ben is now in charge and is moving the club into legal businesses, while holding on to their core beliefs.Jess is the CFO of the flooring company Steve works at, he has been trying for 3 years to get her to go out with him and she finally said yes.Jess grew up in foster care. She is off a bad marriage and is cautious around men. She likes what she sees in Steve and takes a chance.Steve and Jess click. She makes a good impression on his club brothers and their old ladies. Happily puts her financial skills into work helping the club grow their businesses and investing in the future.I loved that their story unfolds over 5 years. Loved Steve and Jess. Loved little Ben and little Jess, can't wait for their stories. Loved the Baxter family tie in and what Steve did for Mitch. Will be reading the next book.The story is steamy, with light BDSM.Free at the time of this review on Amazon.

Fun read, well worth it. Spoiler knight features prominently, in Ricky book 10 of this serries. After she skipped around to a couple very related series a reading order list is necessary if your going to explore in a timeline.

I give this book 5 stars because the story line from the beginning to the end was right on point. I can't wait to read the rest of the series of MC. Will also recommend this book for adult. Awesome job L. Ann Marie👌

In general, 50 awesome smoothie recipes!Depends on what you allow on your Daniel Fast Journey...As for my Daniel Fast, I will not use the smoothies using Stevia, honey, whey (from cows milk/cheese and sweetener due to Lacrosse), non-dairy chocolate chips (also a sweetener or pleasure food) and peanut butter ( I know there are natural brands available) but will enjoy them when not on my fast! Thank you!

I needed an atlas so while I read the historical novels I can see where the places the characters are in the world. It is nice that this book offers that. I wish the kindle reader would include and atlas like it does for poking worlds.

I bought Samsara Dog many years ago for my boy when he was quite little, as I was looking for interesting reads outside of the regular, known books. It looked interesting so I picked it. What else can I say other than I loved the book. At the time my son was too young to fully grasp the meaning behind the story but I read it to him, nonetheless, time and time again. Every single time that I read it, it touches my soul and makes me cry. Sometimes I think I read it to him so often because I loved it so much. The illustrations are gorgeous but much more than that is the story itself. It is moving and exquisite.

This book is powerful, beautiful, evocative and brilliantly illustrated. Samsara Dog will make you think, and even change you, as he lives again and again, until he learns the most important lesson of all. Read it to your children. Read it for yourself. And you will want everyone you know and love to read, too. I cannot recommend this book highly enough. If you have a beating heart, you will be deeply, deeply moved, and beyond...

What a marvelous journey this story is, I have a lump in my throat every time I read it, not to mention gaze upon the incredible illustrations. This gentle story of reincarnation -- many lives in being released from the wheel of Samsara -- is conveyed with the warmest touch, not over or under played.The book itself, in my estimation, has arrived at a place where it is no longer on the wheel of Samsara, but has reached its own place of Nirvana. It completely reached my spirit, my mind, my heart, to witness this book. I thank you (author Helen and illustrator Julie) so very, very much.

I purchased this book for my 10 year old grandson for Christmas. We had some great discussions about death and dying as a result of reading the book together. A week later his new brother was stillborn. You just never know when you have to start talking about death and dying with children and it gave us a great language to talk about what happened and begin the process of acceptance.The illustrations are wonderful and the story is uplifting. It is one that children will understand more and more as time goes on because the story is easily understood at face value and then as the child grows perspective, the depth of the story becomes more apparent.

Imagine if your children were then taken away to a foreign country......that's what happened to these two little girls. They were kidnapped and taken to Greece by their father. This begins a two year nightmare for Lizbeth and she fights to reclaim her precious children. Although Greece is a nation which signed the Hague Convention (which is supposed to protect the rights of custodial parents).......Lizbeth finds that Greece like many countries make it almost impossible to get their children back. Yet, Lizbeth perseveres and does everything she can to get her daughter's back. As she travels back and forth to Greece she is met by incompetent government officials and roadblock after roadblock. She shares the heartbreaking anguish, frustrations, and anger that she endures. She writes with openness and honesty about this horrible time in her life. She desperately tries to keep it together and hold onto hope that she can hold her children again. Along the way she gains the support of friends, family, lawyers, co-workers, and officials in both the US and Greece. She never gives up.....even when she finally gets to see her children for the first time and is met with hostility by her daughter's....who have been traumatized by their abusive father.....sadly the girls cannot even speak English any longer.Through it all......the hurt, pain, frustrations, anger, loneliness, fear, brokenness, and financial struggles....Lizbeth holds on and with a mother's love continues the fight to bring her daughter's love.Any parent should be able to appreciate this book. I also recommend this book to anyone who has been a victim of domestic violence.....Lizbeth shares her experiences with the violence her ex-husband committed against her and her further work with victims. A good read that shows how far a parent is willing to go to get their precious children back. Another page turner I would recommend is Betty Mahmoody's book, Not Without My Daughter.

This is an inspiring book about a woman who has been given little in the world -- she was regularly abused and then abandoned by her mother at an early age – and so is cast out upon the sea of life unprepared. That what ensues is more of the same is not surprising, but when her implausibly (for me) mean, abusive husband abducts their young children and takes them to a foreign country, her deep, love-filled attachment for them propels her to acts that can only be described as heroic. Beautifully written, this is a heart-pounding thriller of a story that reads like a novel, but leaves you with insight and admiration for the astonishing capacity of the human spirit. Totally awesome! This is on my shelf as a best read of 2017!! Back in the 80's I read Betty Mamoody's book Not Without My Daughter and thought that any other book of child abduction couldn't be as horrific. I was wrong!! In 1994, Lizbeth Meredith said good-bye to her four- and six year-old daughters for a visit with their non-custodial father only to learn days later that they had been kidnapped and taken to their father's home country of Greece. This book, Pieces of Me: Rescuing My Kidnapped Daughters written by Lizbeth Meredith is just as heart wrenching and a page-turner. The author's story is truly amazing and her path was filled with so many obstacles, that I feel most people would have given up. Unreal at some of the things she had to go against. All I can say is that this is a wonderful book and I enjoyed the author's honesty about her own life growing up. That added to the tension in this book. This woman has strength and courage and she let nothing stand in her way . Do yourself a great favor and read this book. It is a book that will stay with you forever. You will not be disappointed. A 5 star for this extraordinary example of someone who overcame bullying, abduction, arrest and being failed by the authorities in two continents to free her daughters. As you can tell, I'm very passionate aout this book.

Started this book on the airplane for a quick weekend trip. Had a busy weekend planned and didn't think I would have time to read it until the return flight. However, I got so hooked that I found every opportunity to continue reading and finished it before even getting on the plane home!The story is engaging from the beginning, and being a parent, I kept thinking about what I would have done if in the same circumstances. The resolve shown by the mother in the continued increasingly stressful situations was remarkable and showed the true love of a mother for her children. That said, the author authentically pointed out her own flaws and struggles at times with being a parent of young children in stressful situations. Anyone with young kids can relate to how difficult they can be in the best of circumstances, so reading about her struggles in the worst of situations made me wonder how I would have behaved in a similar situation.I thoroughly enjoyed it and hope you do as well!
